title = "An enhanced congestion avoidance mechanism for compound TCP",
abstract = "Compound Transmission Control Protocol (CTCP) is widely deployed as the default transport layer protocol in the Windows operating system. It is a hybrid congestion control mechanism, in which a delay- based component is added to the standard TCP. In this article, we propose an enhanced version of CTCP named Statistic Process Control Compound TCP (SPC-CTCP). SPC-CTCP uses the information of RTT statistics to judge the network states and adjust its window size accordingly. The ns-2-based simulation results show that SPC-CTCP obtains more goodput as compared to that of TCP SPC and CTCP in various network environments.",
