Abstract

In summary, vocational assessment and evaluation play a significant role in optimizing rehabilitation outcomes of people with disabilities. The focus of vocational evaluation is to appraise the individual's current employability (functioning) level using an asset approach. The profile of current employability (also known as residual employability profile) can be used in describing the strengths and limitations of the client and to identify services needed for achieving identified VR goals. Vocational evaluation information is especially useful for rehabilitation plan development and vocational counseling of people with disabilities.
