Study of lead-acid battery charging by using sinusoidal current

Abstract

This paper aims to explore the Lead-acid battery charging performance by the analysis of the AC impedance. The experiments show that the optimal charging frequency is within the range from the resonant frequency to the minimum AC impedance frequency. In such a condition, the Lead-acid battery charging time and charging efficiency are improved about 13.8% and 27.5%, respectively.
