Abstract

The preparation and activity of recyclable polymer-supported ruthenium olefin metathesis catalysts was discussed. These catalysts have been grafted to polymer supports and found to be effective heterogeneous catalysts for ring-closing metathesis. They are also recyclable, show comparable reactivity to their homogeneous counterparts, tolerant functional groups and perform well with unsubstituted dienes.
