Abstract

The most important characteristic of capitalism is that the life world is abstractly transformed into single commodity money that can be calculated. Commodity money causes capital to increase in value and become social relations with reification. In that case, the human relationship is expressed by matter to matter. However, the dignity and the value can't be shown and achieved by it. Marx had an insight into the appearance of commodities and capital masking the relationship between human beings. In other words, the capital controls our mind and behaviour. The whole world is a reversed world with reification. Marx deemed that it was capitalism to abuse and enslave the humanity, and then cause alienation. Peter McLaren who is a critical pedagogy scholar states alienation in capitalist society, and we don't find it. Therefore, we should criticize about capitalism, and investigate the conditions of reproduction for social classes, ideologies, and alienation. Finally, McLaren hopes the revolution of critical pedagogy can bring us thinking up. From his standpoint on Marxism, he stressed his revolutionary critical pedagogy to offer us to resist capitalism.
