Monochrome TN-LCD driven by pentacene organic thin-film transistor arrays on flexible substrate

Abstract

The 3inch Organic Thin-Film Transistor (OTFT) TN liquid crystal display was fabricated on polyelhersulfone (PES) substrate employing polyimide (PI) as gate dielectric. This display with 64×128 pixels addressed by pentacene active layer OTFT array. The pentacene of small molecule was deposited on bottom gate device and obtained carrier mobility of 0.057 cm 2/V-s and on/off current ratio of more than 104 were achieved.
