Abstract
A combined mode-matching and moment method is proposed to study the transmission properties of single and coupled cylindrical microstrip lines with an indented ground. The results in the limiting cases match well with those in the literature. The effects on strip width, strip separation, indent (cavity) depth, indent (cavity) shape are analysed. The formulations developed and the results obtained are useful to the design of such transmission lines.
