Magnetization reversal in nanostructured permalloy rings

Abstract

The magnetization reversal in nanostructured Permalloy rings was discussed. It was found that when the linewidth of the ring was decreased to some extent that the small vortices were not residing in the narrow region, the spin configuration of state II and its corresponding plateaus of the hysteresis loop were not observed. The analysis showed that circular state appeared in simulation although the Permalloy ring used in symmetry.
