Abstract

An investigation on four different magnetization configurations of micron- and submicron-sized permalloy square frames by numerical simulations was performed. The pure conventional 90° Neel type wall with zero net magnetic pole and numerically another high energy domain wall with positive or negative net magnetic poles in the corner were obtained. These three kinds of domain walls were found to constitute four different patterns in square frames.
