Abstract

The magnetic domain configuration in microstructured Fe3O 4 film grown by molecular beam epitaxy was studied. The arrays of rectangle-shaped Fe3O4 elements with aspect ratios ranging from 1 to 12 were made by combining molecular beam epitaxy, electron beam lithography and wet etching. The MFM results on Fe3O 4 elements patterned on the MgO(110) substrate showed no discernible magnetic signal.
