Abstract
A microprocessor-based intelligent pulse-pump controller (μP-IPPC) for X-Y mode frequency-locked stepping position servo control system (XY-FLSPS) is proposed. A discrete frequency is programmed to represent the servo position so as to raise the accuracy of position lock. Two proper X and Y motion profiles generated from μP-IPPC are provided for guiding the X and Y motors' movements according to the detected X and Y position errors. An X-Y speed identifier (XY-SI) is introduced for determining the X-axis and Y-axis motion speeds so that both X and Y motors can reach the target at quite the same time. A three-dimensional display for describing the X-Y position and speed responses is conducted.
