Development of remote graphical monitoring and control system based on webaccess

Abstract

In view of apparatus control request, a remote monitoring and control experiment system based on the Internet module WebAccess and programmable logic controller PLC is proposed. This study employed WebAccess software to construct a remote graphical monitoring and control system, which was developed differently from previous remote monitoring systems. Advantech WebAccess is a web system structure, thus, it can reduce the time required for building a web server, and the system can be developed online or locally. As establishing the communication between PLC module and WebAccess, the apparatus control and long-distance monitoring is realized. The results indicated that, remote monitoring and control system by PLC and WebAccess is feasible. ICIC International
