Design and Implementation of a Low Cost Multimedia Distance Learning System

Abstract

In this paper, we describe the architecture and implementation issues of our low cost web-based multimedia distance learning system. Using the most important tools, the shared annotation browser and audio narration tool, students and their teacher can devote themselves on the learning process synchronously just as they were in the traditional face-to-face class without extra hardware costs, though they are geographically dispersed around the world.
