Closing behavior of an internal void located at the center of the sheet during rolling is discussed numerically by using the finite element method. The influences of various rolling conditions, such as thickness reduction, the void aspect ratio, etc., on the closing behavior of the void are investigated. The simulated results are compared with experimental results conducted by the authors, and good agreement is found. The numerical results can provide useful knowledge for eliminating the internal voids in sheet rolling.
