N2 - The devised multi-agent development platform has been composited by abstraction layers of PAL, DAL, MWL, and MAL. Their functionalities have agent communication language interpreter, interaction protocol, and abstraction hardware platform that are in turn applied to support the realization of intelligent agent nodes for a multi-agent application system. The sentence of agent communication language is encoded on the packet of IEEE 802.15.4 to alleviate communication overheads. The social network technique is involved to implement the interaction protocol that can duly keep track of the interactive organization on an executing multi-agent application system. The software component paradigm has been applied to construct the abstraction hardware platform. It hides the changeover of hardware computing resources to propose a standardized open computing environment that supports the function unit development of intelligent agent nodes independent to specific hardware structures. Finally, a multi-agent application system related to the evaluation of arithmetic expressions has been realized to exemplify the development results.
