Abstract
The design of an integrated dual-band antenna for global positioning system (GPS) and universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS) is presented. A circularly polarized square-ring corner truncated micros trip antenna is designed for GPS application, and a monopolar shorted square patch antenna embedded within the center of the square-ring is designed for UMTS application. Both proposed antenna elements demonstrated desirable isolation, radiation pattern; polarization, and bandwidth requirement.
