Organisation profile

政府於1980年設立新竹科學工業園區,帶動台灣的產業革命。近年來政府更設立了中部科學工業園區,其中半導體及光電產業即為發展重點之一。此顯示光電科技是未來我國重點科技的新興產業,也是極重要的基礎科學研究項目之一,其領域的深度和廣度正日益擴大中。不論在光顯示器、光通訊、光儲存、生醫光電、光源及光能源應用等領域上,光電技術及其應用已佔有主導的地位。展望未來,在面臨國際強大競爭力挑戰下,為持續發展光電科技,必得提昇與培養研究人員之素養與深度,以期能獨立研究與發展光電的新領域,帶領光電產業走在科技前端。為因應光電科技之發展及光電業界間之建教研究需要,本校乃於民國91年籌設光電科技研究所。本所目前計有7位專任教師,皆具博士學位,其中4位教授,2位副教授及1位助理教授,專長包括光電元件、半導體物理及顯示技術等。
