Organisation profile

本系成立於民國六十四年,為國內第一所從事特殊教育師資培育之學系。初期招收專科畢業生,修習三年課程。七十八學年度起改招收高中畢業生,修習四年課程,學生均享有公費。八十一學年度起班級數由單班增為雙班,八十七學年度起改為只有一半的學生享有公費待遇,九十一學年度起,取消公費制度,全部學生均為自費生。 七十三學年度本系成立研究所,招收碩士班學生,並於民國八十學年度起招收博士班學生,九十五學年成立資賦優異研究所,是為國內第一所成立特殊教育研究所與資賦優異研究所的學系。 本系師資陣容相當堅強,目前計有十七位教師,均獲有博士學位,所專攻之領域包括資賦優異、智能障礙、聽覺障礙、視覺障礙、學習障礙、情緒障礙及多重障礙等。系上教師研究風氣鼎盛,每學年均有老師獲有教育行政單位或國科會委託之專案在進行,同時並有跨系或跨校之研究。
