自本系創系以來,在歷任主任及全體同仁的努力下,教學成績卓著,培育無數卓越物理師資及物理界人才。近年來,陸續延攬物理光電及材料領域學有專精的人才加入本系既有的教學及研究團隊,使本系的師資陣容更堅強。依各人的專長,本系的師資可概括為三類,並因此規劃本系課程,分別是: (一)實驗取向; (二)理論取向; (三)物理教育取向。
