Organisation profile

本系大學部每年招生兩班,並設有數學研究所碩士班與博士班暨統計資訊研究所碩士及兼顧師資培育學程;本系師資陣容堅強,有教師廿七位,其中博士廿四名,教師們均致力於教學、研究,頗受各界好評。以下為本系所教育目標: 【數學系所】 除繼續肩負中等教育以上數學師資培育之 重大責任外,並加強數學、統計、資訊以及數學教育相關領域之專題研究,以期培養多方向之專業人才。 【統資所】 以統計為主,資訊為輔,以培養兼具統計與資訊專業知能之跨領域應用人才,例如:生物統計、生物資訊、網路資訊安全、金融與計量經與教育評量等。本系研究所以非線性分析、生物統計、生物資訊、網路資訊安全與金融數學等為主,並包括代數、數論、機率與數學教育等領域。本系教師研究風氣頗盛,近三年來每年平均有十六件國科會計劃,除了專題演講外,並有通俗數學講座,及定期舉辦校際或國際學術研討會。
